ROFL! Here I am, reading about the formation of the BIS in 1930, and there they are, meeting in Switzerland.
What got me started on the BIS was reading an article in the NY Times, dateline October 18, 1929, that suggested that the BIS was formed, not just to distribute German reparations, but also to regulate the flow of gold from one country to another, and to control the exchange rate. On the same date, there was an article about Owen Young and T.W. Lamont backing the World Court.
