just remember reading somewhere
that 12/99 was the peak

i believe there are many (no hard data again)
investors who
not only bankrupt
but beaten down like dogs
who cower at the sight of their PCs
or mutual fund co. logo
on medication

retires and soon-to-be retirees
with cashed-out proceeds in bonds
or commercial paper
too afraid to step back
into the fray

this is one of the many (my opinion again)
reasons we are going through this agonizing
bottoming process
surely no V shape recovery
not even a U
but a W-I-D-E U

the current market state
can hardly be described as
irrational, IMO
