I just upgraded my RAM to 384Mb from 128Mb on a Dell XPS R450 hoping to increase performance while running streaming quotes, web browsing, emailing, and 1-2 other programs (running them all at once). (W98 and IE)

So far, I am not seeing much difference from the boot-up, to opening programs (seem slow), or switching windows (some delay). What are the obvious performance improvements seen? How can I be sure that I am getting full use of the RAM upgrade? Thanks, Lonnie
