Speculation of a major deal in this space flamed by recent Londay Sunday Business report that Cable & Wireless is close to announcing the purchase of a US internet company; deal price mentioned in the article of "several billion pounds" has sparked interest in names such as EXDS ($5.5 bln market-cap) and GENU (+2.3 bln).
