In the case of the Hispanic woman, her daughter wanted her mother and I to get married to put an end to this woman's relationships with abusive men. Unfortunately, the woman kept telling me there was no way she could ever fall in love with a man who wasn't the scum of the earth. Personally, I never observed any abusive behavior by her boyfriend. I have only the word of the woman and her daughter that this was the case.
