eichler, Thanks. The buy the rumor and sell the news on the FED decision could be developing but it is really a question of how far we up the Nasdaq can go up ahead of the FED meeting.

I am still looking for an explosive move ahead of the FED. A few catalysts are needed.
--Got Dell after the bell today--seems positive.
--Cisco is going to be bad tomorrow but any hint of good news could spark so many Nasdaq stocks much more than Dell could. Cisco has too big a supply chain---and most of those companies are on the Naz.

I don't know what to expect from Cisco but there are some positive comments now coming out of some brokerages (there was one today). Can it really be any worse than their profit warning had indicated? That will be key. Anything slightly better or a slightly better outlook and the Naz will look pretty good.

Much worse than expected news from Cisco and the Naz is in trouble, even if some individual sectors like the PCs holds up (msft, dell, intc types).

I also would call this a non-event day and did not bother following the market too closely. Need to see a larger move to make sense of the market...and we should get something tomorrow.
