Incorporated (Nasdaq:SBLU.O) today announced the appointment of John J.
Todd as the Company's chief financial officer and chief operating
officer. Todd brings to SONICblue financial and operational expertise
and experience consistent with SONICblue's objectives of establishing
itself as a leader in the field of Internet appliances and services .
He has demonstrated a proven ability to lead company finance
initiatives during periods of rapid growth and expansion, as
demonstrated in his previous roles, most recently serving as senior
vice president and chief financial officer of Gateway Inc.
The appointment of Todd follows an extensive search focused on
locating a candidate with the financial and operational experience
necessary to complement the current management team and to support the
Company's profitability and growth objectives. Todd will be
responsible for SONICblue's worldwide financial and administrative
management and will provide operational leadership to SONICblue's
business units. He will also oversee the Company's extensive strategic
investment portfolio.
