a lot of these hangs at shutdown are intermittent problems. as far as i know, most of the solutions take that into account. or more precisely, i should say that you will not know if a lot of the remedies work without trying it for awhile.

if you have a problem happening "maybe 5-10% of the time", as you have stated, how else can you hope to determine if a fix has been successful? only through repeated use, as far as i am aware.

hopefully the ms patch works. please let us know
