Jungleman, that sure is a narrow trading range on a day when merger mania should have had a more positive effect on the energy sector.

The small trading range is an indication of indecision.

I can't count the number of times CNBC talked about energy today. An hour didn't go by without the mention of higher prices and lower supplies. And, the OSX, XNG and XOI didn't have significant gains.

Analyst after analyst spoke about buying energy, and yet the sector didn't have significant gains.

That's been my point.

Record earnings, mergers happening, higher prices and supply shortages, yet the OSX, XNG and XOI aren't hitting new highs.

What's it going to take to reach new highs in the patch?

If we get any decent builds in crude and NG this week, then Katy bar the door. The sell-off will commence.

I say the OSX at 112.50 by Friday.
