I think it is generally accepted that MOT is going to standardize on Q's chipsets for 1x....but here is some more evidence (though it is circumstantial).

In the conference call, Zafirovski reiterated his plan to reduce the complexity of Motorola's phones by 75 percent and cut manufacturing costs by 25 percent

He said Motorola's phones will have 40 to 45 percent of their parts in common by the end of the year compared with the current 10 to 20 percent. He expects that figure to reach 75 to 80 percent in 2002.
