Well, you said that Nietzsche said that from a cultural perspective, God was dead. I huffed and puffed and imagined a few retorts. But I decided to continue to read. And it seemed to me that he was correct. It was a comment on society, not an actual theological comment. I mean, it is moronic to say God is dead. If you believe in God then you believe you are immortal. But to limit your statement to a finite sense, such as saying "science no longer believes in God", then that is a commentary on humanity. Not theology. To speculate further that that is bad for humanity is further evidence that the speaker believes in God. But, like Aristotle, he refrains from making the God of the Universe his personal God.
