OT? Are Movie theaters a storage opportunity?

Last year I had the opportunity to see a digital movie in a theater. The picture quality was fabulous, deep colors, enormous depth of field, etc. I've lost the handout material, but I believe the movie was 4 TB of content.

Resistance by movie chains (new projectors, huge storage or real time satellite) is a major problem, but the savings from transport, duping, piracy, etc would be enormous.

With the glut of cheap fiber optic, and local storage, what would stop Exodus from establishing regional movie centers to stream the content on demand, or having the storage right in the theater? The rep suggested satellite was the most likely alternative (like a group PPV), which could be either real time/off peak or stored onsite for later use.
