William, in my opinion most of these guys have been way overpaid over the past few years with the huge option scamarama that company boards have been backing willingly. That said, your statement about IBM could be applied all over the place. At least IBM has somewhat held it's own in regard to share price. You could also say: 1) How many millions have Mikey Dell, Tom Meredith, Mort Topfer et al 'scarfed' over the past two years while Dell's share price is less than HALF of what it was two years ago... 2) John Chambers of Cisco 'scarfed' 150 million plus last year while his company's stock tanked 80%.... 3) John Roth of Nortel made 100 million plus while Nortel stock followed Cisco down the tubes.
