2 mo ago, the NASD told me 6 mo to 1 year. I would be really surprised to see it sooner than 1 yr, with SOES and Supermirage on the NASD's agenda, as well as clearing firms having to change their in-house computer systems.

I do think, and this is mere conjecture, but clearing firms - especially PIA ones like Penson - will up the $25k to $50K or more to simplify their enforcement of the rule.
