Pleeease... don't underestimate the deeply entrenched competition, which owns 99.9999 % of the market. In the world of 'if you don't like it, go somewhere else", perhaps some can get away with 30-day product warranties, as unpleasant and unfair they may be or seem, and some cannot. A one-year battery warranty seems to be very, very generous, because you never know what the customer is going to do to it, and it's a live and, unlike electronic devices, not perfectly reversible system. Before offering some rush opinions, I would want to see a tabulation of laptop battery warranties from all the major manufacturers and distributors, such as www.igo.com etc.
