National Semi (NSM) 25 -1.19: Company warns for Q4, sees sales down 16 to 18% sequentially from Q3. National Semiconductor
now expects fourth quarter revenues of approximately $390-$400 million, vs consensus estimate of $428.6 mln; see press release.

Maxim Integrated (MXIM) 51.54 -0.09: Reports Q3 earnings of $0.33 a share, in line with the First Call consensus of $0.33, vs
year-ago earnings of $0.23; revenues rose 35.4% to $306.75 mln from a year-ago of $226.54 mln. Company says combined revenues
and earnings of Maxim and Dallas Semiconductor will decline in Q4 from their pro forma combined results for the March 2001 quarter by
15 to 20%, prior to merger-related charges and conformance of accounting policies.
