No, taxikid, I mean hyperglyemia. In any event, this investigation will not effect usage of protease inhibitors. This is from the news story (fair use claimed):

WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--The Food and Drug Administration issued a warning to doctors and patients that the breakthrough class of AIDS drugs, protease inhibitors, may cause elevated blood sugar and even diabetes in HIV patients.

The FDA said 83 cases were reported of new or exacerbated diabetes
mellitus and hyperglycemia, or increased blood sugar levels, in HIV-infected patients taking one of protease-inhibitors.
