the price war can't be far behind. they already are forced to compete with their own second hand equipment which is flooding the market now that dot com has become dot coma.
and the entire industry has now a much smaller cake it needs to share..the telcos will pressure the equipment makers mightily, and in the end still buy a lot less than before. ironically, the Fed's money pumping only prolongs the misery, as it keeps non-viable entities in business - the much needed liquidation of overcapacity is thereby postponed.
