in the utility area, water is more of a sure thing than any of the others -- it is stable -- technology is truly evolutionary, never radically changing -- they will remain regulated so the yield is assured.

Doesn't take a lot of thought -- not going to be great for capital appreciation, but great for yield. Just make sure they don't neglect their infrastructure and you will do fine, IMHO.
