I suspect that what I consider "justice" and you consider "justice" are two different things. To the non-participants, "justice" means that society is protected, and the guilty are punished.

As the representative of the accused, I don't represent society. No one else on earth is charged with protecting and defending that person's rights. If the state can't prove that person guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, then justice demands that a verdict of "not guilty" be rendered. What looks like a "loophole" to you looks like a law to me - and the laws are there to protect everyone, innocent and guilty alike.:)

Otherwise, we should give it up and bring in the mullahs to stone to death everyone who is accused.
