Kazakh Oil and Gas Transport Chief Appointed Kazakhstan, May 9, 2001 [ 11:18 ] , Interfax
ASTANA. Timur Kulibayev has been appointed CEO of the Kazakh national main pipeline company Oil and Gas Transport, by a government resolution from May 7. Kulibayev was earlier the president of oil transportation company KazTransOil.
As reported earlier, Oil and Gas Transport was set up by government resolution No. 591 from May 2, with 100% state participation in its charter capital.
The company was set up by transferring to its charter capital state shares in KazTransOil and KazTransGaz, the sea shipping company Kazmortransflot in addition to state shares in other companies, particularly 90% of Aktyubneftesvyaz; 99% of Munai-Impex; 90% of KazTransSvyaz; 100% of Atyrau International Airport and the helicopter company Euro-Asia Air and 3.5% of Bailanys.
The company's main activities include marketing, transportation and sales of hydrocarbon resources, organization of financing, development of feasibility studies, design and installation of oil and gas pipelines and also participation in all Kazakh internal and foreign projects to transport hydrocarbon resources.
In addition to Kulibayev, the company's board includes Kazakh Deputy Energy Minister Uzakbai Karabalin, Deputy Economics and Trade Minster Alexander Andryushenko, State Property and Privatization Committee chief Maksutbek Rakhanov and head of the prime ministerial legal department Kanatbek Safinov. |
