I don't like "Athlon 4." It gives the impression that Pentium 4 is better than Pentium III and AMD has just "caught up" to Intel. If AMD is going to have a marketing campaign it had better emphasize the fact that Palomino X MHz is much faster/more efficent etc than P4-X+300 MHz

It devalues Athlon to Pentium III status, which is Intel's new Celeron, or soon will be. That would be OK if desktop Palominos will outnumber Athlons in the near future, but I think it would be very dificult for Palomino to become a greater percentage of AMD sales than the percentage share of P4 for Intel, since it is starting six months later.

Finally, it weakens the emphasis on the Athlon name.

HOW ABOUT CALLING IT THE ATHLON 5.
