if you are playing games, pent 4 and the best video card you can afford, other then that they are way out hand for what is needed. Pent III should be fine, 933 Mhz, the diff between and 1 gig and that is nothing and would last for the next five years, you would save $50 that way, 128 sdram more the better, hard drive, I have hard time believing anyone will fill them up now unless they are storing music, get a fast one so your are not disk bound. oh, get a cd read/ write, so you can burn your own CDs. the diff in price is about $100 well worth it. If you can open it up and install a card and have good modem, don't buy another, you can back that out. Get a 19 inch trinitron screen. Make sure you get the Microsoft Wheel mouse, I love the wheel. Too bad they don't have the Microsoft natural keyboard as an option, I love mine, very speedy.
