Yes Karen, you have always been as straightforward, as you have been gracious towards me, and that's something I appreciate about you. Please excuse my insinuation. As to your specific question, "how are innocent nonbelievers in Jesus treated by your religion in regards to salvation." Innocent people have no need of a savior, so the question of belief in one, would not apply to them. How would you deal with the question of guilty people and still retain the character of justice? That's the real question. If the demands of justice are to be met, then how could you at the same time be merciful? Grace by definition is unmerited favor. Grace can not be demanded, or earned or manipulated. It is not required that God be gracious only that He be just. So the answer is justice all will receive justice. Your question however, assumes innocence, and I think that's a bit of a leap, especially since it is the character of a morally perfect being, that is the standard by which we will be judged. I am not legally trained but I believe ignorance of the law is not a valid excuse to brake it, even though I would strenuously argue that any such claims, simply amount to willful ignorance.
Have a good day Karen Greg |
