I've been using this downtime to furiously scan the trading wires and ascertain conventional wisdom, and the only thing I've come up with is that nobody wants to be short in front of the FOMC. Hmm ... Strange things are afoot at the Circle-K. We're picking away at some shorts into this meltage (discipline!), while continuing to keep our right hand up. The "right hand" adage, so you know, is Rubyspeak for "protecting yourself." I suppose he picked the phrase up way back when as a Golden Gloves stud. Dorothy never had a chance! Excellent! R.P.
