OK, I'll buy that. But your homework for tonight is to look up the word rhetorical and post the definition here :)

It makes no sense that certain brokers would treat traders one way, and others another unless the distinction was made at the broker level.

You simply do not get it. The SROs will require that all brokerage firms, from the smallest daytrading shop to the largest full service broker - treat their accounts that meet certain requirements in a certain way.

Those accounts that do not fall within those stipulations - from the smallest daytrading ship to the largest full service broker - will not be subject to such.

Where you got the idea that standards would somehow be different from firm to firm is beyond me...but not surprising.
