Howdy hoyasaxa, doc , search. I'm still here but plan on starting to liquidate selectively and putting some of the cash to work elsewhere in the next US down draft that I expect over the next month or so. I think the Brazilian telco's here have a lot going for them and they cannot stay flat forever short of the likes of Itmar taking the presidency and cutting all ties to the world around them<g>. I'll dump EMT first. Not sure where I'll go from there, but plan on holding some of my TNE anyways and perhaps a few of the cellulars for that consolidation that I expect to pick up here soon. I'll post as I sell for any that may still be around here. Might be a great time to buy when I finally sell:~)

I thought the thread was dead so I pretty much stopped posting news. I have been busy enough trading away with my Datek account that I have not been following the news here closely. Too depressing. US markets start to rebound and Argentina has to come along with a problem. Heck seems a couple months ago they were selling off Brazil over currency problems in Turkey. Seems like it's always something, but I believe earnings will prevail for many of these companies in the near future. Took a little longer to get some of the houses in order than I may have thought. Have to remember though that TNE is either the largest or second largest TELCO in LA. Not sure if they ever took out Telmex in terms of installed lines. Seems last report TNE had a large number of customers they had to shut down due to unpaid bills. Just don't know how to factor that in, or to what extent Telmex may have that problem.

Best regards,

Steve
