hi e

as i recall, once a long, long time ago (well, maybe only a couple weeks ago, i've lost track), i had you go in there and do what symantec advised doing, which was to run ndd.exe from DOS. although i do not recall every detail of what transpired after that, i do recall that you reported back that it did not work. immediately after that, i suggested that you do it again, only change one thing. do you recall that post and that item that i was recommending you try over? (i confess to not being too motivated at this moment to search for the post myself, but thought you may have saved it or may remember.)

anyway, long story endless, you can still try that, whatever the heck it was. <g3>

or, something i also suggested was that you post your question on the symantec support site. these are the boys and girls who provide program-specific help for all symantec products, and it's fair to say they should be able to point you in the right direction.

i read that you are about to make the big switch. have fun, and we know you'll do well. any probs, use the old pc to come see us here.

:)
