RE:""A Lower Standard"
Ed Stroligo - 5/8/01"

Looks like this guy has lowered the page to a new level
I don't read about Intel CPUs blowing up left and right. That was and is a great rarity. It happens too often with the Athlons. Granted, most of them are caused by users, but I've seen too many cases of these things dying for no good reason not to believe the reliability standard is a bit lower than what we were used to a few years back.
That's hardly the major problem, though."

Amazing, the guy is on an overclockers page where Athlons get overclocked with rear window defroster repair kits, PCI busses overclocked, ram run out of spec, HSFs torn on and off by kids-cracking the edges of the CPU, HSFs held on with rubber bands because the retainers on the socket broke off, temperatures jacked way up and he thinks that Intel is more stable?
What a dufus.

Fact is that relatively no one is overclocking the Pentiums. First because you can't alter the multiplier and secondly they are more expensive.
