Actually, they do get hammered just about every quarter. But they've always gone back up. In the past 15 months or so, they've had 5 major highs and 5 major lows, usually separated by about 90 days. The gains have been in the 40-70% range (not bad for 30-60 days!), and the losses have been in the 20-40% range (not bad if you're shorting), except for the current drop which is closer to 70%.

How low can they go? At $8, their market cap is about $265M. Considering that they have about $90M in cash ($255M in total assets), it's a steal at this price.

I think now is definitely the time to be long on Borland.
