For one thing, I didn't mention any of the stocks on your little list. Secondly, everthing I said in my previous post WAS FACTUALLY CORRECT.
You intentionally pick a past letter that represents a compilation of the best there ever was with him. The best up to that point, and the best since. And he makes no mention in his letter of 5/17/96 of his past losses. Since it's only a "model" portfolio, and contains no real money, he sees the need to only include his winning picks.
Your little list should also mention what each of those stocks trades for today. They are virtually ALL below what he "paid" for them or SUBSTANTIALLY down. Lutz also doesn't know when to sell. The only time in recent memory that he got out anywhere near the top was Iomega. All the others he either waited ultil the were hammered or still recommends them as STRONG BUYS today.
May 96 is ancient history in the stock market. Show me what Lutz has picked since then. Virtually everthing he recommended since August of last year has either been "sold" at huge losses or has squeaked by unchanged or very modestly higher.

I'm not going waste any more of my time arguing about the merits of Carlton Lutz's stocks. I think there is a separate thread for that discussion where many who have taken a bath with Cabot like to contemplate Lutz's demise.
The record speaks for itself. You, like Lutz, evidently see only what you want to believe.
