ST Trading:

Jacob, I must admit that I'm tempted to begin trading in both directions. I have also been considering initiating a short-term long position. While this range appears to provide some support, I'm not convinced yet that it will hold for much longer. I'm certain that as soon as I make the play, AMAT will break back through and return to its previous trading range.

RE: "I'm thinking about going long soon on AMAT at 50. But when do I sell? "

For the moment, here's how I might play it: Buy at 50 with a stop-loss at 47, sell at 55 (or) try to let it run to 57, then re-set the stop loss to 55 and see if it runs to 59, then sell.

(Keep in mind that I'm happy with 5-10% short-term trading gains)
