Paul: We'll see how much you laugh when the PaloMeatHead 4 (the Mobile Phony !!! ) is launched - and what OEM's sign on to sell it in corporate lines.

If you don't mind a serious comment on my part&#133

The "problem" with AMD chips today, esp. in the high end of the frequency spectrum, is that they are&#133 hot. So hot in fact, that they obliterate themselves in seconds, if you haven't installed the HS (properly). The P4 would have the same problem, if not for the much talked-about clock throttling mechanism.

This is where it gets interesting:
The Palomino will feature an "on-die" thermistor, allowing AMD to do a "safe shut down" of some kind, if the CPU temperature gets too high. This simply isn't possible with current Athlons (and PIIIs, I would assume - although since they don't run nearly as hot, it shouldn't be as much of a problem).
