[ Quite an understatement - DPR ] He said that would impact on revenues at Viag Interkom, BT's mobile company in Germany. The three billion pound goodwill charge at Viag left BT with a full-year pre-tax loss of 1.03 billion pounds. =================== Also, the delay is the markets fault. - DPR =================== Siemens says mobile slump hitting 3G networks buildup biz.yahoo.com FRANKFURT, May 10 (Reuters) - Siemens AG said on Thursday the current slump in the mobile phone sector was affecting not just handset sales but was also impacting the buildup of new generation mobile phone networks. ``We expect the difficult market conditions will continue for the moment,'' the German electronic and engineering group said in a statement. ``It is affecting not just mobile telephones but also the expansion of UMTS networks. The market is in a consolidation phase.''
