As a taker of the previous VSP back in 1998, I hope Intel runs it like they did then. It was probably the most fair layoff I've ever heard of. I just witnessed a layoff at the union fab I work at now. It wasn't pretty. At least from an outsiders point-of-view. Orlando is pretty much a one horse town for semiconductor manufacturing so that made it harder still.
