Jim, Check out the article below from News.Com So, Compaq is going to ship a 2 processor 300Mhz P2? How? The 300Mhz P2 isn't even shipping yet, is it? More marketing vapor, I'm sick of it. They're also going to put 2 66Mhz busses in it? Great, but that doesn't address the bandwith issue anyway. You're still sipping memory through a really thin straw. The machine at the entry price point is barely useable, and the other one they mentioned, at $11,400, is right around the entry point for an O200 (with dealer discounts). Which would you rather have? SGI will probably continue tweaking the machines to get substantial improvements Right around the corner, I'll bet. Anybody have an idea about the volume Guy I talked to yesterday said they are selling O2s as fast as they can make them, and manufacturing isn't @ full capacity yet. He also mentioned that O200s are selling really well. That's about all I know. -justinb
