SSE and HWP have been pretty much in the bag in terms of expectations, but I would be totally, utterly shocked and surprised if the Athlon XP had support for double precision floating-point SIMD that is compatible with Intel's SSE2 instruction set.

If Athlon XP indeed did have SSE2 (and if it actually worked with SSE2 enabled programs), then I would utterly and completely forgive every single delay that the project has undergone.

That said, I'm not entirely (read: at all) convinced that this article is accurate.
