<< Athlon-XP would be my choice...
Nip this P4-microsoft stuff in the bud. >>

Why not go with Athlon 4XP. Now we borrow from the marketing of both intel and microsoft, and 4 XP sounds like it's made for microsoft.

Or I know, we can call it the pentiom 4, and hope no one notices the difference, and change the name of the company to intil.

I think they'd be better off to stick with where they were going and use something like athlon ultra, or athlon professional. Athlon 4 might have been great if there was an athlon 2 and an athlon 3, but since there wasn't it just sounds like they're trying to fool the consumer. (and yes it was the 4th version of the athlon, but somehow i doubt the general public knows that)

I think the mhz comparrison would be used no matter what, but this makes it even more evident then it would be otherwise.

To be honest, once it sits in for awhile, I'm sure I won't care, just like I hated Duron at first, but now it sounds just fine, but I do think they could have done much better.
