ROYL hit $14, did not make it through. It is nice to hold something that the day-dumpers haven't screwed with, just moving up on it's own, not ginned up by the quick turn group.
""Royale Energy Inc. (Nasdaq:ROYL -
news) earned $3,030,505 or $0.79 basic earnings per share and $0.74 diluted earnings per
share in the first quarter for 2001 versus $142,544 or $0.04 basic earnings per share for first
quarter 2000.

Total revenues increased 214 percent to $5,951,867 from $1,898,317, as the average price for
the company's California Natural Gas climbed to an average of $11.89 for the first quarter
versus an average price of $5.34 for all of 2000.

The tightest supply demand balance in history for natural gas kept prices high during the first
quarter. Low levels of natural gas in storage, combined with decreased hydroelectric power
and increased demand for electric generation in California are creating similar prices for the
first two months of the second quarter. ``These results are significant due to the fact that the
company's first quarter earnings historically are always the lowest for the year, mainly as a
result of less drilling during the wet winter conditions,'' said President Don Hosmer,
commenting on the results."" Pretty sweet.

Will look at PRZ...
