I've studied most of them in detail, even programmed them by hand so I would understand the math, and I really don't think you can trust indicators, particularly not as leading indicators such as you are suggesting. In general, I think folks starting out with TA spend way, way too much time looking at indicators. IMHO, you'd be 10 times better off concentrating on support, resistance, and pattern analysis, then later, look at things like moving average crossovers (and other MA tricks) as well as some indicators.
