| I stand corrected on this one Ted, because you improved my memory by mentioning Tex Antoine who was my favorite weather person of all time, who I first watched on NBC in the 1960's as a kid! Used to love the way he would draw in the cold and warm fronts, high and low pressure centers, etc, and was very unhappy when he left ABC. (because of pressure placed on him by an improper comment he made about something on the air, or at least that is the rumor we heard in Jersey at the time) Yes, Roger Grimsby started joking around on ABC long before Tom Snyder came on board! Bill Beutel played the straight man and was the more serious co-anchor as I remember it..... By the way Ted, I do think your humor is funny and on target a good percentage of the time, so it still flies with me too, just as long as it is not overdone! LOL! In fact, sometimes you have that Jerry Lewis quality and style about you, and I do mean that as a compliment. Keep up the mostly good work. |
