I do buy GE air conditioners. In fact, one relatively large window model purchased in 1974 was still working well after being on almost every day in the summer when it was taken out in 1991..... Bought a small GE portable window model in 1993, and that one is still going strong after heavy use. As long as they are not made in China! <g>
