Schacht resigned in 1930, and was brought back by Hitler after he came into power. The German position on reparations was always mendacious in the extreme. The Dawes Plan and the Young Plan were different. More than that I won't say until the four books by Schacht and the one book about Schacht I ordered arrive, and I've read them. What I've seen in the popular press is contradictory.
