Jacin thanks for the note, and you reveal another tech mystery that I will never know, why did WOW work on your system and not mine. I actually got detailed enough with this to know as they add on new clusters with new sign ons, mine was 504, and it has problems. I was a cluster problem. I also know there are latency issues because of the satellite, which I was told by Starband is problimatic with data streams. Also I can ping to my broker at about 200-250 on a dial up isp, on Starband 850, or about 4 times as slow. I know another trader in Santa Fe, same cluster, who has no problems. Why it did not work for me, well kinda my fate I think, and I am glad it works well for you.
I do not know how fast you trade, speed matters to me, but you may wish to check out the ping test with your broker on a land line vs Starband. If you trade as fast as I sometimes do, it's worth the extra speed, if you swing trade, it does not matter in the slightest. If you go to the effort of the ping test, could you let me know, I am curious. |
