Startech Environmental Corp. the world leader in plasma waste remediation and recycling technology, announced today that it has received a $500,000 contract increase from Eiko Systems Corporation of Japan, expanding the scope of the present contract. Startech will ship Eiko's first Plasma Converter(TM) in August to safely process hazardous ash from the burning of trash in Japan's Municipal Incinerators.
Sanyo Electric Credit Co., Ltd. And Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. are among the eminent shareholders and active participants in Eiko Systems whose President and CEO is Mr. Kiyomi Yoshimura. Eiko is a progressive environmental and "clean power" technology company with offices throughout Japan.
Joseph F. Longo, President of Startech said, "In Japan, and other countries, incinerators are being phased out. However, the incinerator ash being produced is recognized as a particularly pernicious hazardous waste, as it is also in many other enlightened countries of the world.
We've just completed the training of a team of Eiko engineers in our Showroom and Training Center in Bristol, Connecticut. The sale is an important first step in introducing Startech's Plasma Converter to the Japanese market this year.
In addition to producing clean energy, the Plasma Converter will allow prevailing environmental standards around the world to become much safer." |
