Is there such thing as specific trading talent? Like talent for music, for painting, for math?

I think there is, but I wouldn't liken it to artistic talent, which is creative. Trading is interpretive.

The fact that so few traders are successful is pretty much all the evidence you need for considering it a specific talent. Occupations that are sought by many and attained by few seem to require either talent or extraordinary intelligence (sometimes both). Since I believe that trading only requires a normal intelligence, that leaves talent to explain why so few make it.
