The tax cut has been rushed through to make sure it gets signed before any more good economic news comes out. Intel and AMD have already announced that they expect a strong third quarter, and the Bush administration won't be able to keep up their recession talk too much longer.

Bush will sign the tax cut in a few days, proclaim victory over the "recession", and immediately start taking credit for fixing the error that Greenspan already corrected 5 months ago.
