If Warren B is moving into Refco strips, then he's getting long zero coupons, looking for lower long rates, I would think... but what are Refco strips?? maybe they have a synthetic equivalent to some type of hybrid govt.- corporate zeros'.... did you see the big 20 year zero that was being issued this week VZ. those can be really impressive trading and investing vehicles if you catch a downturn in rates, and if you own them and can convert into stock you can have a covered shorting common strategy as well if the stars are aligned -g-
