Telecom NZ links with Microsoft and Hutchison news.ft.com Under Friday's deal Telecom NZ and Hutchison will together invest A$1bn ($523.4m) in a 3G venture in Australia. In New Zealand, Telecom will initially own the 3G company with Hutchison taking an option for a NZ$250m stake. Their existing second-generation businesses will continue to be run independently.
