Like everyone else on the thread ... I've had my moments (especially from the ridiculous Forbes article!) regarding the veracity of IPM.
To me ... those rumours, untruths, misinformation, etc. were put to bed upon receiving the following reply to my inquiry to the Australian Society of Geophysicists.

Sir or Madam,
Could you please validate if V.L.R. (Le) Furlong was a Founding Member of your organization.
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I am a substantial shareholder in IPMCF, a mining concern of which Mr. Furlong is the Pres. Alan Doyle, an Australian, is C.O.B.
I encourage you to visit their website:
ipmcf.com
At that website you will see IPM makes some very significant claims regarding the size and nature of "complex" mineralization at their Black Rock Project.
Personally, I am a strong believer they have what they say they have. However, many industry critics take exception to their claims. Most notably an article was published recently in Forbes questioning Mr. Furlong's credentials.
I have a copy of Mr. Furlong's complete resume. In that resume he has stated he is a "Founding Member, Australian Society of Exploration Geophysics". My interpretation of that description is he was a first year member, maybe more.
I understand your Org. was founded in 1970. That would coincide with his other reported activities in Australia at that time.
Therefore, I am not trying to disprove any of his credentials but rather support them to an otherwise critical industry.
I am making this confidential inquiry independent of IPM.
Thank you,
Karl Zetmeir

Sir,
I can confirm that Mr Furlong has been a member of the ASEG since its formation in 1970. He also served as an Exexutive Committe Member from 1970 to 1976, including President of the Society in 1974 and 1975.
I do not have any other information about Mr Furlong's qualifications or credentials.
Yours sincerely Andrew Mutton ASEG Executive Committe Member
